Football Expert Chris Sutton Battles Singer Murs in Premier League Forecasts

Arsenal's ten-match winning run was ended by Sunderland before the global break, however can the English top division frontrunners recover against local foes Spurs this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," stated football expert Chris Sutton.

"Frank will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still manage to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this term, versus AI, fans and a range of guests.

In the twelfth round, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.

The singer's new record, the new release, is out on the weekend.

Soccer and Family Experiences

Olly is a talented footballer as well as a successful singer and has been a featured player of several charity football matches down the years - but he is not intending a serious return as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a benefit game the other evening for a mate of mine," he explained. "The side was losing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too risky for me in my career to do it seriously again.

"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my child or son decides to play instead."

The singer and his spouse Amelia Tank have two children, their daughter and Albert, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their coach.

"I will not force football on our children but I've already told my wife that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be coaching their weekend soccer team," he added.

"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously was involved with a soccer team for a while too.

"My father coached with us when I was a child, which is likely where I get it from. He coached our side for two or three years and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Predictions

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea may have to be patient for Cole Palmer's comeback from fitness issues but their attack is now stronger with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.

In my opinion this game will be quite tight, however. The Clarets are well organised and their only home defeats so far have been against Liverpool and Arsenal.

It suggests a 1-1 tie to me, but I am in fact going to go with the London side to edge it for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

Sutton's forecast: 1-2

The singer's pick: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have lost their previous couple matches - albeit both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which shocked me.

In contrast, the Hammers won back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they appear strong again.

The Hammers' sole on the road win this season came at Nottingham Forest in August, when their manager Nuno Espirito Santo was still Forest coach.

So, what on earth do I go with here - will it be the Hammers continuing their run under Nuno, or Bournemouth responding?

I will go with Bournemouth, because I think what happened against Villa was a anomaly.

Sutton's prediction: 2-0

Olly's outlook: The home team are performing strongly but the visitors have picked up under their boss. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were considered one of the favourites for the drop before the campaign started, but they have surprised a several people under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three in their past four matches.

A family member told me to get Brentford forward Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.

Thiago will likely find the net again on Saturday but I am still not going to pick him or support the away side at Brighton's ground.

The Bees have not had much success on the road this term, and Brighton are consistently strong at home. The visitors will attempt to hit them on the break but I think Fabian Hurzeler's side pose much more of a danger.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

The singer's prediction: This could be a match where you expect there is going to be a lot of goals but it in reality proves to be rather close. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a huge game for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their past six matches.

They have got lots of quality in their squad but it nonetheless feels like they could be dragged into a drop zone fight.

As for the Black Cats, indeed they are the surprise package of the top flight campaign so far.

Their performance in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal last time out was superb. We've not witnessed any other team disrupt the North London side like that this term, and they were more than a match for them.

The logical choice to do to support the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of disrupting Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they beat the Blues at the close of last month.

But I am not choose that. Rather, I really need to continue opposing the away team with my predictions. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their positive outcomes because they clearly love to defy my predictions.

Considering the home side's at Craven Cottage record, the sole side they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Marco Silva's team will be absolutely eager for a good outcome, so I am going to say they will pick up three points.

Sutton's prediction: 1-0

Olly's choice: I know the visitors are performing strongly and also that the hosts are on a poor streak... but Fulham have nonetheless been decent at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0

The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a tough one to call. Liverpool have lost seven of their last ten games in every tournament, but could they be one of the teams who profit from the {international break|
