Loyal fans of Ariana Grande are demanding that a person who leaped a fence and touched the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or deported from Singapore.
A circulating footage shows the individual from Australia pushing past camera operators and charging at Grande while the performers made its way down a promenade flanked by fans.
Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being led away of the event by guards.
Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "let go after being arrested", though official papers indicated that he was scheduled to appear on the next day. It is not clear if he was faced legal action.
This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a performance. His Instagram profile features videos of him disturbing other celebrity events, including rushing the platform at the artist's Sydney concert in earlier this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the same location last winter.
"Measures must be taken taken against him as this is obviously a legal violation," wrote an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his behavior.
"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" a different Instagram user questioned.
Numerous followers accused Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a terrorist explosion at the finale of her 2017 performance in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and injuring hundreds.
"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" commented a further message on Instagram.
Several supporters also criticised guards at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while different individuals demanded social media platforms to remove Mr Wen's content.
In footage spreading on the internet, Grande appeared shocked when she was grabbed by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.
Grande has not issued a statement on the incident, and the premiere activities proceeded as normal.
Many of fans had congregated in a sea of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good regional premiere in a Singapore venue, including several who had stood in line for as long as eight hours before it started.
The motion picture, to be launched on the 21st of November, is the second of a two-film interpretation of the popular Broadway and West End production Wicked, which focuses on the surprising relationship between two distinct witches.
The musical itself is a spin-off of the 1900 book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Grande, who plays the character Glinda Glinda, was decked out in a light pink sparkling outfit at the premiere while Erivo, who plays the Elphaba, wore a elegant ensemble decorated with roses.
They were joined by cast member Jeff Goldblum.
The previous installment, Wicked, was the highest-grossing motion picture of 2024 in the UK, and received a dozen Oscar nominations, securing two for outstanding attire and artistic direction.
